Scholarship Scheme

Tennis England operates a Scholarship Scheme for children from 4-18yrs of age. The scheme was set up to actively identify talented juniors early on and then to provide them with a structured programme that is affordable and of world class quality. Children need to demonstrate a high level of commitment to their tennis. In addition, children have to pass a talent identification test. The test involves internationally recognized speed, agility, co-ordination, balance, strength and tennis specific tests. The Tennis England Scholarship provides the initial stepping-stones to give a child the best chance to fulfill their potential in tennis and life.

Scholarship children will receive the following benefits in order to make their tennis coaching programme of the highest quality at the minimum financial cost.

There are four levels of scholarship that are based on commitment, attitude and potential. A minimum commitment is one individual lesson per week and one squad lesson per week.

Level One
Silver Scholarship
Commitment; A minimum commitment is one individual lesson per week and one squad lesson per week

Level Two
Gold Scholarship – only 3 children from each club will be awarded this level scholarship

Commitment; A minimum commitment are three squad lessons per week, 24 tournaments a year and one individual lesson per week
50% discount off Term-time squads
50% discount off all holiday camps
20% discount off individual lesson per week

Level Three
Platinum Scholarship - only 1 child from each club will be awarded this level scholarship

100% discount off Term-time squads
100% discount off all holiday camps
20% discount off individual lesson per week
