At Tennis England, making tennis more fun and easy is the heart and soul of what we do. We're the perfect choice if you want to improve your game or meet other friendly players at an informal lively club. Whether you've not played for years or want more of a challenge, we can provide the right programme for you. We believe passionately and understand from experience that anyone can learn to play tennis to a high level.
The adult coaching courses are designed to encourage and stretch you to meet your full potential. You will be taught through a series of imaginative drills using a games-based approach designed by Clinton Lamprecht. You'll get fitter, stronger, feel healthier and play instinctively to the ball.
Tennis WelcomeWhether you've never played tennis before or would just like to be more confident on court, we've got just the session for you. Tennis Welcome takes place most weeks during the summer and will give you a taste of tennis at Tennis England. It’s a great opportunity to take the first step and meet one of our pros, who will introduce you to the range of tennis activities on offer. You will receive some useful tips in a 60 minute practical session, when your level can be assessed so that we can tailor-make a programme just for you.
New Starter or Rusty RacketsThis course is aimed at lapsed players or if you are new to tennis. You will move, learn and achieve as you sharpen your new strokes. The course covers fundamental techniques/tactics, enabling you to succeed in singles and doubles games. This is high-quality 90-minute coaching at its best with an experienced pro. The maximum ratio is one coach to 4 pupils.
Improve Fast with Skills & DrillsWould you like to take your tennis to the next level? You will hit lots of tennis balls in a constructive, challenging and enjoyable coaching session that aims to maximise your play in singles and doubles games. This course is your shortcut to on-court success and enjoying the game even more. This is high quality 90 minute coaching at its best with an experienced pro. The maximum ratio is one coach to 4 pupils.
Club Sessions & Box LeaguesWe also run Club Sessions every week that take place mornings and evenings. You will get the chance to play doubles and singles with other people at your level. Moreover, because one of our pros organises the session, you will be mixed and matched so that you'll get a good range of competitive games. The tennis is great; the session is sociable and fun. If you are looking for regular singles play to keep in shape, the box leagues are perfect.
